Welcome to Idaho!

Idaho's welcome sign was a rectangle, not shaped like the state. We are in the Pacific Time Zone now, but Pearl is still on east coast time.

It's dark and rainy in this state. We're headed to Coeur d'Alene for the night.

  1. How to cure Pearl's "jet lag"
Go to Tools/ under Options select Date/time / under Date-time source: select Network

Click Menu while still in above screen, click Update Time

Unless you want to stay in sync with east coast fan base :). Thanks for the nice trip. I'm thinking you could do a Julie/Julia type thing and really entertain your readers... now, hmmm, what project can you undertake to blog about?

  2. Dear Anonymous,
Pearl volunteered to remain on East Coast time so I could more easily keep track of some phone calls on my calendar. Last night, I thanked her for her sacrifice and set her to Pacific Time. We're California girls now!

  3. Aha - do you think Pearl and Armando have bonded in the course of their ride, under Gertrude's careful chaperoning of course... the world is more interesting when "still life" and "inanimate object" take on character roles. Safe travels.

  4. Dear Anonymous,
Unfortunately, Pearl and Armando don't get much time to spend together. Armando is a back seat rider. He listens to his headphones and zones out for most of the trip, while Pearl is very busy doing her job of posting trip status and musings. Gertrude also doesn't have much time for chaperoning while "on the job". Keeping contact with the satellites and drawing purple lines with whit arrows is about all she can muster. We are enjoying the company of Armando, Pearl, and Gertrude and appreciate all of their hard work. Well, Armando has it pretty easy.
